24 Weeks

I have now started the second week of my sixth month! Yay! This week baby Alexander is the length of an ear of corn, about a foot, give or take. He weighs over a pound now and will be gaining a few ounces every week. Geez. My belly is getting bigger and heavier and I am having to wear my belly support band more and more. Soon, I will have to move up to a bigger size so it will fit around me! If you want to read all about his development you can go to BabyCenter and it will detail it out as well as show a nifty picture!

Jason and I had lots of fun in Houston getting to see family! We had dinner with Amy & Jason Gurica and spent a lot of time hanging out with Kelly & Michael and their son Gabe! Gabe is such a happy baby but when he gets tired he sure is grumpy! I hope I can handle taking care of my baby without just going crazy when he starts to cry! I feel like I will be handing him to Jason saying "It's yours too" a lot.  Ha ha ha!

Jason & I at Amy & Jason's (confusing, huh?)

Anywho, Jason and I have spent some time in Frisco this week helping out with the remodel to upstairs/our future home and it looks awesome so far! We can't wait to move in and set up the nursery and everything and make it our home.

Jason starts class tomorrow so that means early to bed, and early to rise (for him at least!) Thanks for reading :)

Daddy Post #2 "Houston Adventures"

Were in Houston for the weekend, or till Monday. We are visiting Amy's Sister, Michael, and of course their little one, Gabe! Gabe likes to watch me and smile, but i wonder what he thinks when he looks at me... "Boy... He sure looks funny?" :P
We went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science today, and we got to see the dinosaurs and fun exhibits. Amy got a cute video of Gabe taking a drink of coke and then shaking his head from all of the fizzies in the drink. Maybe i will get her to upload it soon.

I was in charge of holding Gabe yesterday while we were out looking for sprinkles, and because the sign was so small, and Kelly fussed at them, we received a free cupcake! Yummy!

We finished last night off with a game of Settlers of Katan, and called it a night. It was a lot of fun!

We are going to get together with Amy and Jason Gurica (sp?) :P and hopefully Eileen and Stan will be able to join us for dinner at Papacitos tonight.
That's all for now! See you at next post.

23 Weeks

As of tomorrow (Thursday the 18th) I will be in my 23rd week! What does this mean?

As far changes for me goes, my back is getting more sore everyday and my legs have started to cramp at night. I've had to invest in some shoes with super supportive soles- some walking shoes by Merrell. They are fantastic and have already started to cut back on foot-aches (which is good news for Jason). Supposedly I will start waking up in the middle of the night with a rumbling tummy; I feel like Jason will soon be able to pour a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch in his sleep.

As for baby Alexander, he now weighs just over a pound and is about 11inches from head to heel; he is comparable (according to BabyCenter) to the size of large mango. He is moving around a lot, and doing more than just kicking. I can feel (and see) him change positions, and sometimes I feel like he is doing flips inside my belly! Oh boy, I feel like once he is born, he is never going to want to sit still– just like his daddy.

Now for all of you who have been waiting patiently, I FINALLY took a picture that you can see my belly in! Yay!

Hopefully we'll be posting picture regularly (every 1-2 weeks) now that I will be growing like crazy!

Jason and I will be taking our first road trip this weekend, the first one since we found out I was pregnant! We will be leaving BRIGHT & EARLY Thursday morning for Houston to see my sister Kelly, brother-in-law Michael, and their adorable son Gabriel! Also the second Amy & Jason and maybe some other family and friends too!

Time for bed!

Craft time!

Today, Jason and I were quite bored. So, we decided to venture to Michael's and picked up something to make for baby Alexander's room. Since his nursery is Woodland Animal themed, we picked a cute turtle and some trees and some colors that sort-of coordinated with the nursery set we chose!!
When we got home I asked Jason if we could paint... "Oh, I thought you were going to do the painting." *sigh* So I did most of the painting (he helped with the turtle), and now we are letting the paint dry fully over night before gluing it down. Jason took a picture and now I am passing it on to you! Enjoy!

We will probably finish it off with a light blue ribbon (to match the crib set) and then I'll make Jason cover it with some of my craft lacquer or something to that effect. :)

Daddy Post

The blog is now up, and it's ready for the first Daddy Post!

Not sure what i will be writing down, but i think it will have fun stories of what Amy is doing or what she is making me do for her, and other fun stuff. Lets get started!

The other day we started a discussion on how old the baby will have to be before i get to introduce him into Rock Climbing. Amy "strongly suggested" that we wait till he is at least 7 or 8 years old. Buuuut, I feel he will already have learned to climb by then. On the couch, off the couch, up and down the stairs and what not. So i feel he should be at least 5! We will see :)

That's is all for now, so i will see you next time.

The First Post- 22 weeks

New to blogging... haven't done it since I was in high school and had a Xanga. With a little one on the way and a wedding down the road I thought I would start a blog so that family and friends could keep in touch without having to get a Facebook account.

As of Thursday the 12th, I am 22 weeks pregnant–officially a full 5 months pregnant! As I start the last month of my second trimester I have started to do lots of reading on BabyCenter and have learned more than I thought possible about being pregnant and having a kid.

Yesterday, Jason and I registered at our final store, Buy Buy Baby. We weren't planning on adding a third store to our registry, but we walked in and loved their wide selection and all of the cute things they had, so we decided there was no harm in registering! That means we are now registered at:
So, that's all for now. I suppose I should figure out some clever way to sign off each post– a quotation or something... hmm. I'll have to keep that in mind.
