Okay! It's official. We are all moved in! Our furniture is in and we have almost everything out of Jason's parents' house. We love our new home. The apartment is wonderful, and I feel so at home here. Alexander has done really well adjusting to the new surroundings, though the first night here he did seem confused and did not want to go to sleep. Now he does pretty well and seems happy! Of course, as long as his belly is full and he is with mommy or daddy, he is usually pretty content.
We had to go a few days (4, actually) without cable or internet (thank goodness I have a smartphone) and I was sooo thankful for having so many DVDs and TV on DVD to watch with Alexander. It was fun watching all my animated Disney movies, but when Alexander fell asleep at night I HAD to put on something a little more grown-up. Princess Bride, Evolution, things like that.
So now, Alexander and I are watching Super WHY! on PBS while daddy gets to sleep in a little bit. He has a busy day ahead of him. Last night was a pretty easy night. Alexander woke up twice, I took one shift and Jason took the other. Both easy, he just wanted a bottle and fell back asleep. And, this morning, he slept in until NINE O'CLOCK. It was simply GLORIOUS to wake up at 9am. I felt strangely refreshed and when I looked at the clock, I knew why!
Well, today Jason and I will be hanging up (hopefully) a couple of more pictures in the living/dining area and then all that's left to do is unpack the study stuff and a few boxes in the master. Moving is hard work! Such hard work I feel like I have been slacking on my cooking :( The first meal we made in the new apartment was chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast Saturday morning! Then I made some Chicken Fettucine Alfredo for dinner the next night. Don't get too excited though. It was Chicken Helper (like Hamburger Helper). It was still delicious though. I never did find my lasagna pan in storage, so I might have to make do with a small pan and make a lasagna soon! Yuuummmy!
Well, I better go wake Jason up so we can get our day started! It's almost 10:30! :)

Early to bed, early to rise
Tonight, I went to Pappasito's with Katie for 1/2 price fajita night! Jason had to work, but is enjoying the left overs now! While I was gone, Mimi and Pappy babysat and got Alexander down to bed early, at 8pm. Oh dear. Granted, he did skip his afternoon nap today and that is PROBABLY why he got cranky and sleepy early. However I am not looking forward to him waking up early tomorrow.
For the past couple of days he has slept in until a nice, decent hour of about 7-7:30. It's been wonderful getting that extra hour or so!
Anywho, tomorrow Jason, Alexander, & I are going to pick up the keys to our new apartment!! How exciting! :D The movers come on Friday and then we will just have to work on undoing what we have spent the last two weeks doing. Blah. We are both EXHAAUUSTED and ready to just rest and stop with all this moving nonsense (at least I am). Poor Jason has had to work on top of packing!
Once we get into the apartment and set everything up (ish) I will post some pictures.
Also, I am thinking of restarting a new blog that encompasses more of our lives than JUST Alexander, but so much of our life IS Alexander that I think we might just start incorporating out other adventures on here, always with a side note of baby boy Alexander! What do you think? Hmm... if I do this, the blog might need a facelift. But I do love the theme I created! Opinions?

Creative Post Title
Well, Jason and I are moving into our new apartment in less than 2 weeks! We are starting to pack today and are pretty excited. The apartment is fantastic. It's a steal too! We are getting granite countertops, espresso cabinets, and tray ceilings in a wonderful gated complex! Two bedroom, one bath with quite a bit of closer space and the unit comes with washer & dryer. We bought new pots & pans since our old ones were pretty much dead. It will be very exciting to decorate and live in a new place! We will be in Plano now, though we will be on 121 so we're practically in Frisco still.
We were supposed to go to Houston this weekend, but Jason got hurt and now we are sitting at home. He is alright and everything is good, we are enjoying a relaxing weekend watching television (Back to the Future 3 is on right now) and playing with Alexander. :)
We went to the doctor's office last week and Alexander got some vaccinations that made him feel <100%. Here are some pictures I took at the doctor!

Also, I have included a picture of Alexander and his grandfather from my parents' visit last weekend. :)

Today Alexander is playing with his daddy right now. He is SUCH a daddy's boy. Both of my boys are starting to fuss for lunch, so I guess I better go remedy that! Lunch time!
