Well, last night Alexander kicked and kicked and then when he finally settled down around 2:30, my legs and feet were still sore and I felt like I just had to kick them around. So I did. I am glad Jason was fast asleep because he probably would have thought I was a 5-year-old throwing a fit the way I was acting... and to be honest, I kind of felt that way. I was sooo upset that I had been laying in bed for hours and had only caught about 5 minutes of Zzz's. Consequently, I turned off my alarm and slept until about 11:30.
The whole day my legs felt fine, but my belly just felt...heavy. I suppose it should since I am carrying around a baby weighing over 4 pounds, and apparently I am carrying him all "out front" and that's why my belly gets sore. PLUS, the fact that he is growing so quickly right now (according to my readings) is probably lending to the discomfort.
Jason has asked me a couple of times what it feels like when Alexander moves around, and the only way I can think of to describe it is what I read in one of the baby books. "It feels like popcorn popping." It's true. When he kicks or makes a sudden movement it's like having a giant piece of popcorn BURST from a small kernel into a white fluffy piece of popcorn inside my belly. And when he does flips? It's like waves! It's the most bizarre feeling because all of the sudden you are so aware that there is a little human inside you! *sigh* oh my.
That feeling is described in so many different ways. I personally believe it varies from person to person with similar traits lol Does that make sense? xD Anyway, I remember seeing my nephew move around my cousin's womb and MAN OH MAN he kicked A LOT!! Poor thing barely got any sleep because of him xD But that's how it goes! I will see you Saturday my dear! I miss you so much!! Love you!
